Pile Techs Policies
Appointment & Reservation Policy
In order to meet your pet care needs and ensure we can schedule an
appointment for the day and time most convenient to YOU, we require
at least 48 hours notice to reserve all pet waste removal,
pet-sitting, pet-taxi, dog-walking, and
dog training appointments. Cancellation fees, as
outlined below in the cancellation policy section may apply.
Payment Policy
For Pet Waste Removal:
Pile Techs requires payment for the initial cleaning fee at the time
we first service your yard. We can set up a monthly service at that
time and require monthly payment in advance. If your service begins
during the middle or end of the month, your first month’s service
will be pro-rated and your service will then be billed at the 1st
of each month. Depending on payment method, we will leave an invoice
on your door for the pending month’s service. If paying by credit
card or automatic withdrawal, payment will be obtained accordingly.
If payment is not received by the 2nd week of the month –
you may not be placed on the route schedule and service could be
placed on hold.
For all other services:
Payment is obtained prior to services being performed.
Returned Checks:
A $30 processing fee may be charged for checks returned by the bank
for non-sufficient funds (NSF checks).
Cancellation Policy
All services require a
48-hour cancellation notice in advance of the next scheduled service
in order to guarantee you are not charged for the service
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before our pet waste
removal, pet sitting, pet-taxi, dog-walking,
or dog training services are scheduled to
begin are subject to a 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before our pet waste
removal, pet sitting, pet-taxi, dog-walking,
or dog training services are to begin are
subject to a 75% cancellation fee.
If a representative of Pile Techs arrives at your home for a
previously scheduled appointment and no one is at home or if we are
not allowed or are unable to perform the scheduled services for any
reason, the cost of the service scheduled will be applied.
Key Policy
Most
clients provide a key to Pile Techs at the initial consultation. If
you are not able to do so at the time of the consultation, we charge
a $5.00 key pick-up fee. Again, most of our clients allow us to
retain the key(s) on file for future reservations. These keys are
kept in a lock-box with a special code so they cannot be traced to
your residence.
If you prefer, we return the key(s) to you instead of retaining
them in our lock-box, we will gladly do so. However, the next time
you request our services, a pet sitter will have to take time out of
their busy schedule to pick up your house key(s), so the $5.00
pick-up fee is applied for each instance.
Holiday
Work Policy
Pile Techs
does not work on the below listed Holidays. The only exception is
our Pet Sitting Services. All other services: Pet
Waste Removal, Pet Walking, Pet Taxi and Pet Food Delivery will be
suspended on these dates:

We will
however, make up for your missed scheduled day by one of two ways.
The first option is we can perform the job later that
same week. The second option is to simply reimburse
you for the missed day on your next monthly statement. Please inform
us how you would prefer to handle the missed Holiday.
Holiday
Pet Sitting Fees
Since we are an employee-based company that operates 365 days a
year, we charge an additional fee when providing services during
major holidays. Staffing is difficult during this time, so an
additional $15 surcharge is applied per day to services during the
following holidays.

Thanksgiving Day (Nov.27)
Christmas Eve (Dec. 24)
Christmas Day (Dec. 25)
New Years Eve (Dec. 31)
New Years Day (Jan.1)
Pet Walking Policy
Because of the potential flight risk, traffic, and the unknown,
we have implemented a policy against off-leash dog walking.
Obviously if we are taking your dog to a dog park, or a safely
confined area, we will take your dog off leash, but as a regular
rule of thumb we do not.
We pet sit
365 days of the year! We do not, however, provide dog walks on the
following major holidays:

Christmas Eve (Dec. 24)
Christmas Day (Dec. 25)
New Years Eve (Dec. 31)
New Years Day (Jan.1)
Medication Policy
As long as your animals do not pose a threat to the sitter, we are
happy to administer medication to your pet. However, pet owners are
responsible for providing detailed instructions for any and all
medication to be administered to their pet(s). The additional fees
are:
Oral
medications, topical creams, drops, etc.: $5.00 per visit
Injections:
$10.00 per visit
Unfortunately, we can not administer intravenous fluids.
Inclement Weather Policy
Pile Techs reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel any
waste removal service
due to weather, national emergency, and/or other emergency. You will
be notified of any cancellations.
