August 2, 2008 – The Humane Society’s annual Pet Telethon
This year’s annual El Paso Humane Society Telethon on news channel 7
(ABC) was aired on August 2. Pile Techs participated again this year.
Sunday, June 1, 2008 – “Bark in the Park” Baseball game
We sponsored the annual “Bark in the Park” baseball game which is
held at Cohen Stadium. The
El Paso Diablos made a great
comeback but lost to the visiting
Pensacola Pelicans 11-8. Several other vendors
participated in the event that allowed the public to bring their
dogs to the game.
Saturday, May 17, 2008 – Humane Society’s Adoption Fair
About 60 pets were adopted during the adoption fair held at the
Humane Society. It was an honor to be there throughout
the day. The event was covered by a remote from
KISS 93.1
and a few other vendors participated as well.
Sunday, April 27, 2008 – Annual K-9 Classic Pet Walk
The 19th annual K-9 Pet Walk (fair), sponsored by the
El Paso Humane Society, was held at Eastwood Part
(Album). Many, many vendors participated and helped raise proceeds
for the
Humane Society. News Channel 9’s
Nick Miller was the MC again this year. Great turnout and lots of
fun, although it did get very windy.
Saturday, March 1, 2008 – Animal Rescue League Dinner
Animal Rescue Leagues annual fund raiser was attended by about 500
people this year. It was a pleasure meeting so many animal lovers in
one place. Entertainment was provided as well as a silent auction
that helped raise a substantial amount of money for the
organization.
Saturday, November 17, 2007 – Dog Lovers Fair
El Paso Saddle Blanket was the site of the 1st annual
“Dog Lovers Fair” sponsored by the Humane Society. Hundreds of
people attended the all day event. Many vendors participated and
exhibitions were provided as well. The event had lots of media
coverage and just about every type of dog was present.
Saturday, October 28, 2007 – Howl-o-wine
Pets Alive held their 3rd annual dog walk at La Viña
Winery. There were lots of great costumes on the dogs during this
perfect October day.
Saturday, October 20, 2007 – Howl at the Moon
Cattleman’s Steakhouse was location for the “Howl at the Moon” event
sponsored by the Humane Society. Felipa Solis was the MC for the
evening and the environment and food were perfect.
August 4, 2007 – the Humane Society’s annual Pet Telethon
This year’s annual El Paso Humane Society Telethon on news channel 7
(ABC) was aired on August 4. Pile Techs participated again this year
and we were fortunate enough to get interviewed live on air by Miss
El Paso USA – Brittany Endlich. Six dogs were adopted during our
stint at the mobile adoption unit!
July 2007 – Pet Sitters International Accreditation
Pile Techs
is now an officially accredited pet sitting company. Both Abraham
and Bob passed the accreditation test which encompasses a variety of
curriculums. One must have thorough knowledge and skills of pet care
& pet behaviors of all species, first aid, and health & nutrition.
This accreditation program is designed to provide a complete and
well-rounded educational experience for a professional pet sitter.
We are extremely happy about receiving our accreditation and look
forward to passing on our knowledge to customers, friends, and their
pets alike.
June 2007 – KCOS Auction
Ms. Lynn Daniel had the winning bid for the $300.00 giveaway Pile
Techs offered during the KCOS auction. Congratulations to Ms.
Daniel!!
Sunday, April 29, 2007 – 18th Annual K-9
Pet Fair
The 18th annual K-9 pet fair, sponsored by the El Paso
Humane Society, was held at Eastwood Part (Album). News Channel 9
anchors Nick Miller and Felipa Solis helped MC the event which
featured many pet oriented businesses and pet adoption
organizations.

Friday, March 9, 2007 – Pets Alive Bachelor Auction 2007
Our most recent event was the 1st annual “Pets Alive
Bachelor Auction”. All proceeds benefited Pets Alive El Paso works
to stop the killing of adoptable animals in El Paso animal shelters.
They do this by providing financial assistance to cover spay &
neuter surgery costs. We feel this is a great cause and jumped at
the opportunity to participate in such a well needed cause!
Monday, March 5, 2007 – Pile Techs 1st Television
commercial airs on ABC channel 7
Our
first Television commercial started airing this week on ABC channel
7. We thank everyone for the kind words about the commercial and we
look forward to making the next one as humorous as this one.
Saturday, March 3, 2007 – Dinner at the Park (Silent auction)
Just a quick note to let everyone know we participated in the annual
Animal Rescue Leagues “Dinner at the Park”. This event is an annual
fund raiser for the Animal Rescue League of El Paso and we had great
time. It was a pleasure meeting so many animal lovers in the area
and the response was awesome. An estimated 600 people purchased
tickets for the event and all proceeds went the ARL. In addition, a
silent auction was held that raised a substantial amount of money as
well – all for the care of our local animals.

Saturday, October 28, 2006 - Pile Techs volunteered at the
Animal Care & Safety Fair
We want to let
everyone know this past weekends event was a big success. The
Animal Care & Safety Fair was held at White Spur Park on the
west-side and was sponsored by The Westside Police Citizen's
Advisory Board, the El Paso Police Department and the El Paso
Parks and Recreation. The event included animal micro-chipping,
a Halloween Costume Contest and several area rescue
organizations. Public interest was great and the turn-out was so
large, the event organizers are planning to hold this event
twice per year!
Saturday, October 21, 2006 - Pile Techs participated at the Paws
for a Cause
We are pleased to
announce that at least 3 pets were adopted at the 1st annual
"Paws for a Cause" event sponsored by the Pet Guardian Angle
Welfare Association. The event included many various vendors,
several local bands, lots of food and good fun. We are looking
forward to participating at next years event!

Volunteer at El Paso Humane Society's Telethon!
Pile Techs will be participating in the El Paso
Humane Society’s Telethon on KVIA Channel 7 (ABC) this Saturday -
August 12, 2006.
The event is held annually to promote the adoption of
animals at the shelter on 325 Shelter Place, El Paso, TX 79905.
We encourage everyone possible to call and adopt a
pet or make a monetary pledge. For more specific information please

The Humane Society of El Paso offices are open
